This BMW Z8 is a remarkably well-preserved example of the rare and distinctive retro-inspired modern classic roadster, offered for sale by its second owner from new and with low mileage.
Originally a France-delivered model which was immediately exported to Geneva, Switzerland, this Z8 was first registered in April 2001, and was purchased by the seller in Switzerland in 2018 at around 25,000Kms.
The seller then exported the car to Germany, where it remains with its current and reportedly second owner for more than five years.
The odometer shows just 30,034 Kms from new.
Equipment
This Z8 is finished in the refined shade of Titan Silver with the rare detachable hard-top roof, over a Sport Red and Black ‘soft’ leather-trimmed interior, featuring brushed aluminium and gloss-grey trim.
Equipment includes projector headlights, a three-spoke ‘banjo’-style steering wheel, air conditioning, a CD stereo with multichanger, switchable sport mode, electrically adjustable heated seats, heated screens, push-button start, and a built-in Motorola telephone.
The car comes with the original tools, all the French owner’s manuals with a black leather wallet, a handheld fire extinguisher, a first aid kit, a warning triangle, the factory hardtop stand and cover, two stamped service booklets, and a collection of TÜV certificates, reports and maintenance invoices.
Known Flaws
This Z8’s most recent routine maintenance was carried out in December 2023 at 29,874 Kms by Munderloh Auto Service GmbH, which consisted of an ‘Inspection I’ and a bodywork inspection.
Prior to this, the engine oil and filter were changed in January 2021 at 29,070 Kms by the technicians at P&S Autotechnik GmbH & Co KG, and in February 2013 at 22,600 Kms by Emil Frey SA Genève Acacias BMW.
